Friends and family of Sheri Coleman and Columbia city leaders are looking at a permanent tribute to Sheri and her sons Gavin and Garett. A park pavilion with picnic tables surrounded by trees in their name. Those who know them say a tribute in a park is fitting because they were a very athletic family that loved playing outside. This afternoon the site www.sheriannherboys.com featured a picture of Sheri Ann Coleman and her boys and a running total of money raised so far. A little more than $1,300. A strange thing though. I assume it's a coincidence. I found the phone number to one of the few names listed on the website and left a message with a person who answered the phone for this friend of Sheri's to call me back. A short time later, the website was no longer up... a message said it was being worked on and will be back up later. I called the number to that same friend and got an answering machine this time and again no one called me back. As of this moment the site is still down. I was hoping to show it to viewers during our live report tonight at 10. Seems odd no one called me back on this. You'd think those involved with this would love the free, positive publicity. Again, it's possible the woman was busy or didn't get the message, but I'm just a tad skeptical now. At this point the city is behind this effort. I talked to one official who says they're already discussing possible location, cost and ways the city may be able to help make this happen. The website you have given gives broken error message. Website is not working.
Could you follow up on this? I donated because I thought it was a great idea, now the site has not been up since. Did these funds really go to a memorial or what!?
