That's what a south city resident wants to know tonight. On Sunday, Nick Baur was in his backyard when he saw something odd in the sky. Baur allowed us to air some of the video tonight for our evening newscasts, but asked us not to post any of the raw or the edited footage that we aired tonight at ten. Baur caught the strange image on his hand held video camera. In the video the object appears to change shape. In one section the object seems to have four points and some sort of antenna; a few minutes later, the object looks more like a saucer spinning through the air. He told me that he ruled out the idea that it could be an airplane, weather balloon, helicopter or bird quickly. Baur says he's never seen anything like that before in his life and he is confident that it is some sort of UFO.
I checked with several police agencies and the FAA and was told that they did not have any reports of "strange" or "foreign" objects in the sky last night or this morning.
You saw the video tonight, what did you think? Is it a UFO?
I know it sounds odd, but it looked like a flying squirrel.

Looked to me like one of those silver helium balloons got loose and was floating around. It would change shape and appear to hover if at the right altitude. Thats just my opinion though.
It looks like the F117 Stealth fighter aircraft from the pics on the news.

I think the ufo is a square mylar helium balloon floating slowly in the distance.

Shortly before 8PM on Sunday we were leaving my son's in Compton Heights. Several neighbors were gathered outside looking east - out over Hgh 44. The young man told us he was looking at a UFO that appeared to be spiraling. A lady with the binoculars said she could see it too. Both said it had been closer but was now moving east and difficult to view. It wasn't dark yet and try as we might we couldn't see it. As we pulled away we wondered if they were playing a trick on us. Guess not!

I won't tell you who I am...but I will tell you what you saw and where to look for the information....
it's a U.S. Space Command interstellar craft....dig around at Peterson AFB in Colorado and more importantly Pine Gap in Australia...there won't be any official photos on file, but dig through YouTube and you'll find videos like the one the gentleman in your piece filmed.
It has an anti-gravity propulsion system (see book Phd. Paul Lavoilette)and is part of a fleet of craft U.S Space Command have been secretly flying into deep space for the last 20 years.
Hmmmmm...I recall reading about an old McDonnell-Douglas idea for a vertical-lift rescue vehicle to be used as a flying fire-fighting/rescue platform for high-rise building fires.
The vehicle had ducted fan power-nacelles on each corner for lift and thrust as well as directional control.
Of course Boeing could well have a flying "test-bed" of this, and seeing how it would handle in an actual urban setting, during daylight might be a good idea...as they would be away from the crowded airspace at Lambert, and could control their test with a possible review of potential by real fire-rescue personnel. A vehicle like this could be a very real possibility; utilizing the fly0by-wire computer controls the military has in numerous aircraft; we all know the benefits that military reasearch has given the civilian world.

I believe we are going to be seeing more and more, I think the "other beings" are getting more curious and comfortable flying over here.

that's a mylar balloon flying in the sky. funny he could hold his hands still holding the camera while being interviewed but for some reason he couldnt hold the camera still for a second while video taping the BALLOON. As fast as it's tumbling in the sky it's an air filled mylar balloon and no one else reported anything because no one else wanted to be that dramatic.
I don't know for sure what it was.. One thing I do know for sure is that it was something people like him or me even for that matter, wasn't supposed to see it! It could have been a number of thing ranging from a actual UFO or some sort of flying object the Government, DEA or a local Police Department has come up with to spy on all of us.. So I say believe what what you believe there is someone out there and they know everything about the rest of us!!!!!
I do believe that there could be life on other planets, but in this video it looked like to me that it was just a big mylar balloon that got loose.

Reminds me of a Birthday Balloon. I remember my sister had been bringing home balloons and one touched the hot car and popped, causing her to let go of all of them in surprise. When they pointed out the run away balloons to me, it looked almost EXACTLY like that.
Looks just like a birthday balloon. My sister accidentally released some, and when I went outside to look at them, it looked IDENTICAL as they drifted away. Its a balloon. Now its identified, so its not an 'unidentified flying object. IFO.
