We sat down tonight with Dr. Steven Lawrence from Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He's an infectious disease expert. We had several questions about swine flu that viewers had emailed us. They were all good questions. One thing that's important right now is that everybody be kept up-to-date on what's going on with this swine flu outbreak. The doctor said that the situation is going to be changing rapidly as more is found out about this strain of flu and the areas affected change. One thing that we talked about in the newsroom was how quickly something like this can move around, not just the country, but the world. International flights arrive and take off every day. Interstate highways connect us all. Americans have a love affair with the automobile and we are a country on the go. Two cases of the swine flu have been confirmed in Kansas. Interstate 70 is just outside our front door. Keep checking the websites and stay current on what's happening. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
