It's 7:46 and I'm sitting near the intersection of T.R. Hughes and I-70 watching miles of traffic backed up. There are now 2, yes 2, incidents within this stretch of 70. First we had the tracker trailer catch fire. The MO. Highway Patrol says the driver of the rig was going along and realized something was wrong. By the time officials and help arrived, the truck was engulfed in flames. Traffic began backing up soon after that. Then, near the exit(east) before the fire, a car ran into the back of a mail truck. I saw that car. It's totaled. I'm told that driver was injured but to what extent, I don't know. This mess is supposed to be cleaned up in the next hour. I'll let you know.
