It's 9:05 p.m. on Monday night, I just arrived at a two alarm fire burning on the city's north side. We are just gathering information, but here's what we know right now. According to a police officer the fire is burning at Dialcorp, a factory that makes air freshners. Firefighters are staging a few blocks away, they are being very cautious because they aren't sure about chemicals inside the plant. From my vantage point (just north of Calvary Cemetary on North Broadway) I can see smoke coming from the top of the building. I have not witnessed any flames, and the smoke is not as thick as when we first arrived - hopefully that's good news. I just hung up the phone with a firefighter who is on the scene, he's going to be giving me an update in a few minutes. I will continue to stay on the scene and bring you updated information - look for a live report tonight at ten. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

I work here and it looks like it is in a recently abandoned part of the plant. This not only has few hazardous chemicals left but is not significant to the production or jobs in the plant. Be interested to find out what caused this.
