It is currently 3:40 on a Tuesday afternoon. I am back from a press conference from a group of clergymen who want to use stimulus dollars to keep metro from making drastic cuts next month. Time and time again I have heard from people on both sides of the river who believe Metro should not get anything from tax payers. This resentment comes from the MetroLink expansion, which went over budget. There was also a state audit in 2008 that stated the agency wasted money, and people are still talking about a multi-million dollar lawsuit the agency had to pay out to a contractor. I can understand the frustration when I talk to those residents in the streets. However, I also encounter residents like Harriet Woods who attended the presser this afternoon. Mrs. Wood is a neatly dressed grandmother who depends on the bus every day. She uses the bus to get her groceries and visit her doctor. On March 30th, Mrs. Wood no longer will be able to use the bus because metro is cutting her route, and thousands of others to save money. I fully understand Metro's plight, and I fully understand Mrs. Wood's problem. I pray that someone can get help to those losing their transportation. So what do you think? Do you think Metro should get stimulus money to pay for cuts? I want to hear from you.

I think that we need to find a way to get the control of Metro so it can be run by people who actually know how. I don't want innocent people to lose there only means of transportation because of those bad business decisions made by people who do not know how to run the company properly.
If the hands are changed I say help them. If not now way
