The Humane Society of Missouri's disaster team just got back in town this afternoon with another trailer-load of 30 dogs and cats. That brings the total rescued from the Southeast Missouri ice storm in the past week to around 200. About 50 of those pets are just being taken care of until their owners can provide for them again. But the other 150 will be up for adoption. They'll get spayed or neutered and get their neccessary shots and then be ready for a new home in about a week. If you're ready for a new family member there are some nice looking pets available. The number at the Humane Society is (314) 951-1534. The address is 1201 Macklind Avenue in St. Louis. |
