The best estimate anyone has on how many jobs this massive stimulus bill can create comes from the Federal Highway Administration. The formula they have is that every one billion dollars spent on infrastructure translates into 35,000 jobs. With 150 billion dollars of projects in the bill that equals 5,250,000 jobs.
Leaders in the Senate don't have such lofty predictions. They simply state the bill would create 3,500,000 jobs.
It's no secret that construction companies from coast to coast are just waiting to get in on the thousands of projects planned.
