Car Dealers and the recession

10:54 PM Mon, Feb 09, 2009 |

When I visited the Sinclair Buick showroom in south county I was surprised by one thing. There were people there looking and shopping I assume, for new cars.
Dave Sinclair tells me he believes that there are a number of people out there who have little or no worries about their jobs but they're just reluctant to go out and buy a car. There is no doubt that people are hurting and buying a car may be far from their minds.
But he also believes that allowing a tax deduction on interest on car payments, as is proposed in the Senate version of the stimulus bill, may turn it around.

I am a laid off auto dealership worker and think the comment from Dave Sinclair is absurd. I had just typed a whole reply and got ready to submit and all was lost. I would be more than happy to talk one on one with you regarding this situation.

Good morning. I left you a email yesterday with no reply. Guess you were not interested in talking to me. I am a laid off, auto dealership employee, in the business one way or another since my discharge from the U.S.A.F. in 1968 I could tell you a lot if you would care to listen. Thanks
