UPDATES Child's Improved Condition SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY - Lori Stelling is asking for help from anyone who saw the crash that took the life of her only child Friday. Jason Wadlow, 29, was driving an SUV south on Interstate 55, when he went airborne and landed on Butler Hill Rd., she said. It appears he struck thick ice and snow that was plowed to the side of the highway, and the ice served as a ramp to send the car into the air, said Tom Stelling, Wadlow's stepfather. Passenger Jerry Spink, 27, is in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said. Spink's son, 4, is in good condition and is expected to be released from the hospital. The Stellings said the child was riding in a safety seat. Anyone with information about the one-car crash can call the Troop C office of the Missouri Highway Patrol. Wadlow's mother said she decided to disconnect life support and donate her son's organs, based on the advice of doctors at St. Anthony's Medical Center. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
