ST. LOUIS - Three pit bulls, survivors of a dog fighting ring on the city's south side, are good natured enough to become loving pets, and one has already been placed in a foster home, said Randy Grim of Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

Grim said authorities seized more than a dozen dogs during a raid, and most did not survive.

I found Grim at the group's 18th Street headquarters, playing with one of the dogs in the snow.

He told me donations are needed for the group to continue placing thousands of stray dogs in caring homes each year.
