Waiting 'til the last minute is nothing new for me. Blame it on years of working right up until deadline.... or blame it on simple procrastination. At any rate, it is not unusual for me to put things off until I HAVE to do them. So it is kind of hypocritical for me to tell anyone who hasn't readied his or her television for the digital transition to get busy and do so because the deadline is only 6 weeks away. But I'm doing it anyway. Those in the know are certain there will be chaos (not in the streets.... but in living rooms) come February 17th and televisions across the area go to snow because the owners have no converter box, digital ready television, or cable/satellite. It does complicate things that the government has run out of money for the converter box coupons (there's a waiting list) but the sooner you get on that waiting list the more likely you are to get a coupon. We hope you're seeing us February 18th! For more information on the switch to DTV Click here 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

We did not realize there was an expiration date until we saw something on the tv. I emailed dtv at two separate email addresses in November and again in December and did not receive a reply. I tried calling on the telephone and could not talk to a REAL person. What now?
