| TWO ST. LOUIS OFFICERS INJURED, TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS »
According to Forbes Magazine, retailers had their weakest October performance since 1969. Sales fell 1.0%compareded with a 1.0% gain in September. Those numbers seem to suggest that consumers are staying out of the stores during these tough times. However, retailers are striking back. Wal-Mart held a special in store sale during the first week of November. On Satuday Nov. 8th the retailer slashed prices on PS3, laptops, and even flat screen TV'S.The numbers are not end on if this sale was successful or not. Nevertheless, hearing about this made me wonder how many americans will go shopping this Christmas season. I think more and more americans will use this Christmas season to focus on spending time with their love ones, calling their love ones, or finding some creative ways to tell family members they care without spending money. Times are tough, but I belive this year many will chose to spend less time in the stores and more time with love ones.
