Economic theorists say there is no such thing as a free lunch. This value I could never understand. If I don't pay for something then it's free. However, now I realize if I don't pay for something it may not be free. Perfect example, hundreds of Rams fans park their vehicles in a vacant lot on game day. The lot is big, it is walking distance to the dome, and it is FREE! The problem with that is this, there is a risk you take by parking there. According to investigators there have been 29 car break-ins this football season at that parking lot. Police say thieves know that the parking lot is free and that hundreds of fans leave their cars there to save some bucks. In return the thieves breaking to the cars and take what they can get. So instead of this being a free place to park it has turned into a playground for thieves. Now I truly understand there is no such thing as a free lunch.
