No service after eight o'clock in the evening, no extra train service during baseball, hockey, and football games... and 28 of the 60 bus routes will be gone. That is one proposal that metro is reviewing after a half cents sales tax failed. Metro officials are currently reviewing two proposals, but they were not happy with those proposals so they are putting together a third proposal. Metro is trying to minimize the harm as much as they can... but the transit system is facing a 50 million dollar shortfall. On a Friday night I visited a metrolink stop and I ran into a woman who depends on the service to get home, I also came in contact with a man who has two jobs and he depends on Metro services to get him to work. I hope something will get done that will not keep people from making it home and to work at a decent hour.
