It is always interesting to talk to a politician during a campaign. Well, it can be interesting. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to sit down with John McCain to talk about the campaign. He pretty much stuck to his "talking points", as they say. Not surprising, considering how much is at stake in these final days. He was courteous, but preoccupied (understandable). And whereas I felt as if he would talk about "Joe the plumber" even if I asked him about the St. Louis Rams.... at least he took time to sit down with the local media. It's been a while since we could say the same thing for his opponent.
