Politics can be a nasty business and leave behind a bitter taste in the mouths of election losers. But I discovered a sweet side to politics. While picking up my press credentials for the vice presidential debate at Washington University, I spotted these cookies. A local bakery cooked them up and decorated them in honor of the presidential race. Don't expect to measure the support for either set of running mates, by watching to see which cookies go faster. In my experience, news reporters and photographers will eat anything. All the cookies will be gone before you know it.
