A talented artist is robbed at gun point outside his apartment in Soulard. According to investigators five teens approached the resident and asked him for directions. The victim gave the five young men directions. Then suddenly one of the teens pulled a gun a placed it on the back of the victim's neck. They walked the victim inside and took his wallet, cell phone, and some documents. Investigators say after the suspects got what they wanted they released the victim and took off into to the night. However, just a couple blocks away from the incident was an off duty officer who saw a group of teens running. The officer just happened to stop the gunman and arrested him on the spot. Officers caught another suspect just a few miles down the road, and the other three are still at large. Once news got to the victim that two of the suspects were arrested he was pleased. He even showed his gratitude by donating one of his paintings to a fundraiser for a St. Louis police officer who was injured in a car accident. It is great to see a victim turn around and help someone in a time of need... just after needing help themselves. |
