Just some notes on the tomato alert from the FDA on the salmonella outbreak.
The FDA says tomatoes not affected include those from the Arkansas, California, Georgia, Hawaii, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, and also does not include cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes and tomatoes sold with the vine still attached.
If not sure where your tomatoes came from then contact the store where you purchased them.
And always throughly wash any fruits and vegetables.
