I've covered the murder investigations into Randy Greenman and George Whitter's death from the beginning. So, today I met back up with the investigators to see where they were in this case. We found out a number of things, like that the detectives have identified persons of interest and believe they have something to do with organized crime. Lt. David Marshak would not say who they are because the investigation is still ongoing. In our conversation today I also learned that investigators recently served a search warrant on a home in St. Louis County that burned down. That day the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department collected evidence and then sent it off to the crime lab to be tested. Again, Marshak was not willing to give out many details but says it is a step in the right direction. He also tells me that they believe that George Whitter was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'll have to keep checking in with Marshak so news four can bring you the latest on this murder mystery investigation.
