Does $12 Gas Sound Impossible? How about $15, then?

10:48 PM Tue, May 20, 2008 |

In a live report last week, I said that we might look back at $4 per gallon gas as "the good old days."
Now, an energy analyst is saying the same thing.
On CNBC, Robert Hirsch of Management Information Services said: "The prices that we're paying at the pump today are, I think, going to be the good old days, because others who watch this very closely forecast that we're going to be hitting $12 and $15 a gallon, and then, after that, when world oil production goes into decline, we're going to talk about rationing," the cable network said in a report.
Whether any of the presidential candidates will be able to reverse oil's rise is unclear. We do know the public is very divided. As expected, Hillary Clinton won big in Kentucky, and Barack Obama won big in Oregon, claiming a majority of pledged delegates. Ron Paul made a strong showing in Oregon against John McCain.
