Out as Busch Stadium before Wednesday's Cardinals game I spoke with several members of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association's St. Louis chapter. They were there to say thank you to St. Louis on the one year anniversary of the awful campus shooting. They told me people in the St. Louis area had the largest outpouring of support for the school, outside of the state of Virginia. Coutless times this community has come through when others need help, and the compassion shown in the emails, the cards and the letters is just one more example of how big a heart St. Louis has.
