St. George Mayor, Harold Goodman, resigned today after St. Louis County Police arrested him last night on suspicion of possessing child pornography. He wasn't their intended target when the investigation started.
Searching down suspected child porn predators is like following the cracks in a piece of glass. One small rock hits the glass to cause a break. Then the glass begins to splinter. Those cracks spread and weaken the entire piece of glass. In a child porn bust one suspect is caught. Investigators follow the picture files from that suspect's computer across the country and around the world. Other predators are caught and convicted. Like cracks in glass, these criminals infest and weaken our communities.
