Just wondering about this.
The city and state are providing the Cardinals with hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks for the new stadium and Ballpark Village. Few fans are complaining about this. But I often hear fans complain ownership isn't spending enough money on team payroll. Is there any way the deal could be restructured so that some of the millions in tax breaks would have to be directed to free agent acquisitions? Could it even be specified that the money would have to go to pitching?

I do not agree that they should get all of these tax breaks to build and redesign the st. louis center, when in fact it didn't do that well as just shops and restaurants then. How soon people forget or just don't think they have a voice anymore. These large corporations can just decide to come in and build to suit and it's all a right-off for them anyway, but, still get the tax breaks. Where were they when we were looking for companies to build the Busch Stadium up in that plaza? No, I do not think we as tax payers should keep letting these corporations, Busch included to build St. Louis the way they want it, and we end up paying for it again. Thank You for listening.
