Click here to go back to 4Most I took a trip down to the Central West End Dog Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday. I had a great time seeing all the costumes and meeting all the dogs. I think the pooches love to get dressed up just as much as their owners. >> Continue reading: All Dressed up in the CWE My world of reality TV is turning fake right before my eyes. Everyone else knew it was happening, but I had my blinders on. If you've read this blog before, you know I'm a sucker for reality TV. So it should come as no surprise to you that I watch "The Hills" on MTV each week. As soon as the theme song starts, it's time to focus. I do not answer my phone, or do any chores, and hopefully, I've already eaten. I'm always ... I recently blogged about the controversy surrounding Mike Gundy, the football coach of Oklahoma State University. He's the one who launched a verbal assualt on Jennifer Carlson, a journalist who happens to be a KU alum. Well, if you've seen the video of Gundy's rant, you'll definately like this spoof that doubles as an advertisment. It's being posted all over the internet and played on ESPN-- making it the best advertisment money can b... Click here to go back to 4Most Before I blog... let's get something straight. I'm sure most of you have seen the tirade on youtube by now. If you haven't click here. I'm also a KU grad, who's a few years behind Carlson. And I know what it's like to be a young woman who writes about sports. It's not... It's a strange feeling to watch a reality show and know that I'm not a member of its target market. It seems most reality shows are geared for women in their 20's and 30's, like me. Maybe that's why I have mixed feelings about CBS' latest venture into the reality TV unknown. 'Kid Nation' drew pretty good ratings with 9.1 million viewers tuning into CBS for 8 p.m. slot. According to preliminary numbers, it won the hour with adults 18-49... The Queen of Mean has done it again. Trouble will reign. Leona Helmsley has left her eight-year-old dog a $12 million inheritance. Under the will, Helmsley's brother gets $15 million, and her grandchildren get nothing. However it should be noted, most of the billion dollar fortune will go to a charitable trust. It seems fitting that the Maltese now faces a lawsuit to go along with her new worth. Zamfira Sfara, Helmsley's former... |
