October 2009 ArchivesOkay..Breathe, Virginia. I have put this off because I know this will not be easy to write. In fact, I have been in denial the last three weeks because as soon as I think about Marc leaving, I break.
So I've done some soul searching over the last few weeks, as I get ready for my final day on the morning news this Friday. I decided to crunch some numbers to figure out how much of my life was dedicated to this morning gig over 13 years. In the course of doing that I realized what it was all about: DAYS ON THE DESK: 3,141
HOURS ON ...
Friday marks my last day of anchoring the morning show, so I'll post a few more of my favorite memories from recent years. Don't worry - I'll still be around, reporting for our 5 and 6 pm newscasts, just not behind the anchor desk. Thanks for all your support through the years. Marc

I'm only starting to appreciate all the opportunities I've had here through the years as the morning anchor, and all the friends I've made. I promised to post a few of my favorite photos from through the years before my final morning show a week from now. I also found a promo from Virginia's debut on the newscast, and one for March Madness two years ago. Enjoy.

By now, many of you have read Virginia's post on the changes that are coming to N4 Awake, so I figured it was time to address them as well. I've been honest with you for 16 years, so why stop now? October 23rd will be my last day as anchor of the morning news, and that will certainly be a sad day for me.
