Saturday was perfect and then some. It was beautiful. The wedding was in a little town in Illinois called Aviston at a the "Hidden Lake Winery." I highly recommend it. The owners treated us like we were family. Jason and I took pictures before the wedding at the winery.
I was so excited, never nervous, I just wanted to marry the man of my dreams. And after they announced us as husband and wife,
the Laclede Quartet played the song I wanted to surprise Jason with. I hadn't heard them play it until this moment. It was the string quartet version of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me." As you can see I'm pretty pleased as is Jason.
It's just a song that we and all our friends go crazy to when we hear it. So to me, this was the most appropriate song for that moment. The best celebratory moment I've ever had. Remember this was a double wedding. Jason's brother Brian married Christy just before us.
Christy is an amazing woman. She is the reason this wedding came together so well. She really was my rock through all this and I would never have done it any other way. It was perfect. So meet my new husband, brother and sister. I love you guys!
I also want you to meet my new niece Ellie. She has a soft spot for Marc. Taking this picture was probably more exciting than the wedding. 25 CommentsLeave a comment |

Is "Cox & Kerr Off The Record" really the right name for this blog? Seems it ought to be "The Ups and Downs of Virginia Kerr's Life."
Did you really think it was appropriate to wear WHITE????
Virginia, thanks for sharing your beautiful wedding pictures. Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful life together.
Hi, tell Jason congrats from me. I cut his hair for years and watched him grow up. So happy for both of you , oh by the way my hubbie is in love with you and no he is not a stalker. Be good to each other.
Dear Virginia, Congratulations on your new marriage. Best wishes to you both. From Kirk Butenhoff. Have a good 4th of July.
Tami, do you really think it’s appropriate for you to judge? Beautiful wedding and whether she’s wearing WHITE, red, orange, or rainbow...even more beautiful bride.
I really like your morning show, but who doesn't?
You have probably already heard this by now, but in case you haven't, the reason Paul Shaffer greeted former President Bill Clinton with the jazz standard "Harlem Nocturne" is probably because Mr. Clinton has his current office in Harlem, New York.
Coincidentally, the saxophone is the primary instrument of the song.
If they had wanted to treat Mr. Clinton like a lounge lizard, they would have probably gone with something like The Doors' "Touch Me."
