Six years ago, I got the best Christmas gift ever. A boxer puppy. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was living in Spokane, all the other anchors at the station went on vacation and I filled in for the morning and all three evening newscasts. It gives you a chance for cool reflection, and a chance to reconsider those possibly ill-tempered words you just typed. That worked for me this morning. Not only did we beat the Auburn Tigers and stop their six game winning streak, we shut them out and shut them up! Unfortunately, that also made my little sis a little quiet, too.
