October 2008 ArchivesLet me tell you about my Uncle Ben. If you think I am obsessed with the University of Alabama football team, you may understand why after this. My Uncle Ben attended Alabama back in the 1940's. He was from a very poor family in South Alabama and never graduated high school. He quit in the 9th grade to enlist in the U.S. Navy. The Bama party was a success. People had a blast and Alabama beat those Tennessee Vols! and his employees at Revival. They had the best Southern food and ... Game time Saturday night is at 6:45. Again at Revival-a great restaurant in South St. Louis. And by the way, for those of you who SOME HOW misread my last blog entry and thought it read OBAMA party instead of BAMA -as in Alabama- you will be very disappointed if you show up expecting a political rally for any candidate. That is, unless Nick Saban is running for office. Roll Tide! ...Beatles fans take note - there's a show at Westport Playhouse you won't want to miss! Oh my...I don't know about you, but I could really use a break. A break from the bad economic news, the nasty political ads, and everyday life. That is why it is great to have college football to take your mind off things. And it's even better when you have fellow football freaks who can join you for a nasty SEC showdown.
