May 2008 ArchivesQuick...hum the theme song to your favorite TV show. Well? I tried, but other than CSI Miami, which uses a favorite song from The Who, I usually draw a blank on current TV shows. I wonder why, because most of us can remember the theme song to our favorite shows when we were kids. That's why the death of a largely unknown producer this week is so sad.

We, the media, continue to cover the fact that Chrysler is offering to "Refuel America" - if only you'll buy a brand new car! I did a story about a weight loss technique that is gaining popularity in the United States. I am a total emotional eater. I have been struggling with it sin... I admit it.
This was our lead story this morning - "A deadly night of violence in St. Louis." In a span of 7 hours, 5 lives were lost to senseless violence. As Journ... Sometimes I'm handed a story that even I can't believe we're running. Often those stories are health related, and often they are the results of studies someone spent alot of money on. So, on the day after Mother's Day, I'm given this: "MANY MOMS HEAD BACK TO WORK THIS MORNING....WISHING THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO. I won't see my mom for Mother's Day but she certainly deserves to have a special one this year. She's been through a lot. But watching how she is able to take on life's challenges and keep charging ahead motivates me and encourages me. I don't have children, so I don't have the experience to know what it's like to worry, support, sacrifice and all the other remarkable things moms do. I do know that it wasn't until I moved away that my ... No, I'm not getting anything done. Not yet at least. I will tell you when that happens. |
