What a morning. I was sitting in the newsroom at 4:37 this morning when the 5.2 magnitude quake hit, and like many people, it was hard to believe at first. Our studios sit very near I-70 downtown, and it's not unusual for tractor-trailers to rumble through the depressed section and cause vibrations in our building. Here's a link to a video of our reactions, posted by our crew this morning on KMOV.COM Let's face it - if you were raised in the Midwest, you know what to do for a tornado, but earthquake preparedness is not part of the training! The Red Cross has posted some safety tips that may come in handy in case this happens again. Have a good weekend. Marc |
