It marks the true start of Fall when you hear the scream of the crowds, the crunch of the pads and the drumbeat of the marching bands. Of course, it also means we're just two months away from UK Basketball season, with our new multi-million dollar coach. Nick Saban and Billy Gillispie have one thing in common - they could rival Atlas with all that weight on their s... It is finally here! College football season officially kicks off Saturday and I am soooo stoked. It will be the first game that Nick Saban, our $4 million-a-year coach, will be in charge of the Crimson Tide.
You have no idea how exciting that is to me. In fact, I spotted an Alabama fan... Okay, I have done a lot of adventurous things in St Louis. Rappelling from tall buildings, riding wild bulls, even standing in the Dome of Death with motorcycles spinning above my head BUT this is the most frightening of all. This could be me on... I'm about to become a dad for the third time, and boy how things have changed! It's not just the gadgets, and the really cool swings and monitors they've developed in the past ten years. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, so here goes: I am obsessed with the Van Halen reunion tour. If you want to hear Marc, Matt, Paul and me uncut and unedited, then tune us in this afternoon at 4 o'clock on the Dave Glover Show. We will be rockin' the airwaves on 97.1Talk until 6 tonight and again tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. When Dave and Turbrock leave town they let us fill in from time to time. You never know what you will find out about us. We don't have a producer in charge, so it gets pretty interesting. Plus you can call in and ... Which one is it? Is it possible the the media deserves neither of those adjectives? And yes, I'm talking about the media in general, not a particular network. Perception is everything when it comes to the buying public, and according to a new poll from the Pew Research Group, nobody is buying the media's honesty or neutrality:
I was already questioning this home run record Barry Bonds set last night, but now many more records may need an * next to them for reasons that have nothing to do with steroid allegations.
