July 2007 ArchivesI started back on my healthy lifestyle again today. I was so energetic and strong on Keath Hausher's workout plan. (He is our fitness expert on News 4 This Morning) I fell back into my old habits a couple of months ago. Skipping workouts, eating the chocolate in the news director's office, making frequent trips to ice cream shops, I could go on and on. I feel nasty. I have also gained at least 10 pounds. But it is not just abou...
The fatal crash of two news helicopters this week in Phoenix is spurring some discussion in the business as to whether we should even cover car chases. This hits close to home because the fatal crash in Phoenix involved KTVK, our sister station in ... Yadier Molina is/was my favorite Cardinal. I know many women may find him "hot." I simply like his boyish face and the way he seems to be such a caring team mate. Like how he always touches the pitchers when he meets with them on the mound. He seems so sincere.
I had a chance to interview one of the nicest guys in baseball today - Joe Garagiola. This picture's a little fuzzy, so let me apologize. Joe's got a new book out called "Just Play Ball", and it absolutely had tears falling from my eyes because of some of the funny stories he relates from his years ... It's all about the company though no matter where you are. And these days the company is the best I have ever had. I have been here for four years and had never been to the Lake of the Ozarks until this weekend. Marc talks about it all the time. Matt talks about his trips there all the time. I had never been. Well, now I am part of the cool club.
If you watch at all, you know I love spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. Generally, there are some pretty negative sterotypes about "the Lake", and I just have to set a few things straight: - Yes, sometimes the lake is pretty busy, but at it's busiest I have NEVER been unab... My cable problems have been well documented here, including my disgust at being without internet service for 17 days last month. I have now switched companies, and use DSL. Never through my entire ordeal did the company acknowledge how poorly I was treated. Enter Meteorologist Matt Chambers - who has had NO cable problems recently - and this card he received in the mail yesterday:
