So what's next? Personally, I think we came as close to a revolt in this country as we've seen in 150 years. In this electronic age, that revolt came in the form of a flood of emails, faxes and angry telephone calls to the men and women who represent "We the People" in W... I got a call from my father yesterday. He wanted to tell me that he likes the blog but he feels I should be serious every once and a while. I could go off on the political issues that irk me or the people who like to give me trouble, but what's the point? I went to the game Saturday disappointed that I was running late and would miss Bill Cosby throw out the first pitch. I sit down with my friends, and this nice man behind us says hello. Eventually he tells us his son is Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard. A few minutes later Bill Cosby sits next to him. Right behind me. My goodness. I have a lot of catching up to do. I was on vacation last week and went to New York City for the first time. I met some famous people.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Grace Slick today from Jefferson Airplane/Starship fame. For her entire life she has been a lover of life, and pretty much said whatever was on her mind. That hasn't changed. She seems to take particular joy in talking about t... I've experienced my share of bad customer service, but this situation with my cable company (rhymes with Tartar) takes things to a new extreme. Today is my 11th day without internet service, and finally I was told there is no chance of repair before Friday. I'm at the end of my coax, so to speak.
