The focus of every national newscast seems to be on this situation surrounding former Congressman Mark Foley. A couple of things that seem obvious to me are that Foley is the one who did wrong here, although the focus seems to be on everyone else. A variety of groups claim to have known about these allegations months or even years before the story broke last week on ABC News. Who knew, and when did they know it? Whether they are politicians or political activists, that question needs to be answered to get to the motive. Also - and thankfully - so far there are no allegations that any contact took place between Foley and any underage children. To see our interview with Congressman John Shimkus Click here.
Earlier this week I had the honor to meet Mickey Carroll, who starred as a munchkin in the "Wizard of Oz".

Carroll is 87 years old now, but can still entertain with the best of them. He donated $2000 to a fund for a murdered Normandy Police Officer Amanda Cates. He's a life-long resident of the Normandy area, and he is truly a character who still has more speaking engagements than he can handle. Nice to meet you, Mickey!
