There are times in life when you suddenly feel like the oldest person in the room. Of course, on our morning team, I am! So yes, I was a bit offended when Cook started making fun of "Jorts" this morning - after I found out what they were. Jorts are "jean shorts", which I admittedly wear quite often. "What's wrong with jean shorts", I asked? "Nothing," says Cook, "except that only old men wear them." I remember making fun of my dad, who wore bermuda shorts for years after they went out of fashion. He wore them for so long - they came back in fashion. Now, he makes fun of me for wearing what he calls bermudas. So I did what any good investgative reporter would do - I googled "jorts" - and I was quite happy with what I found. According to this article, jorts are a "hot" fashion trend! Unfortunately, the article was written in 2004! So, I'm resigned to being a fashion outcast. I'll just leave the metrosexual look to Cook.
