Some of the stories told about wild and wacky things that have happened in kitchens, were merely accidents. If you're old enough, you'll probably remember the SNL skit. Click here to read the entire transcript of the skit that starred Dan Akroyd.

That story was a joke and the so called insiders were even more of a joke. just because your a culinary grad doesn't give you any credibility. those guys are crap, it's hard enough making a living out here and bogus investigative stories like this make it harder. very disappointed!
hello, Nice job. I just wanted to tell you of my experience.
At a Wood River restaurant I had sala served with my meal. It was spoiled! As a chef myself I could see that it was and taste. I told the waitress. My husband went nuts said eat and stop complaining.Of course heated words were said.
Shortly the waitress came back and said noone all evening had said anything but it was in fact bad salsa. The owner keep saying how sorry he was.But how many ppl ate the salsa. Then as I was leaving a women told me the waitress would listen to her complaints and did nothing.I have never been back to that place again. I think you should at times complain . But I have found its best just to stop eating out !!!
wow!
what a great time to show a story that many people will find true even though it is the biggest bunch of crap ever put on TV. when the economy is in such a bad state and those of us who work hard in this industry and are just trying to stay in business, not wanting to put an additional 25-30 people on the umemployment line KMOV feels it is the time to air something so far fetched that it smacks of total stupidity. NEVER in the 25 years i have benn in this business or the 60-70 years my family has owned food service establishmensts in the St. Louis area have we been witness to such acts as you depict happen over and over. maybe before you air such lies you could maybe investigate a little more. the biggest problem you have now is the idiots that think this happens.
nice job! now we can watch small businees owners who are already stuggling lose their fight and close.
thanks
In viewing last night story nothing shocked me and I strongly believe it's worse in reality.
Many years ago, I was hired into a well known St.
Louis establishment 2 days prior to Mother's Day.
The prior Chef had ordered all food for 1200
reservations and placed all merchandise in a non
working freezer. When I addressed this with man-
agement- response was there where no funds available to repair due to company going bankrupt. My belief is as long as investors continue to in this direction the restaurant
problems will never be solved. That's why few private
owned restaurants in St. Louis are dedicated to
culinary standards. Lacking of qualified and ed-
ucated support staff continue to make the problem
worse.
If you're going to put these kinds of stories "out there" then have the stones to put the names of the restaurants that are potentially serving patrons food that will make them sick. Make these places accountable for their bad service and lack of hygiene. Maybe if everybody just stopped eating out, something would be done. To put a story in the news that unnamed restaurants are serving food from the floor or rotten items and NOT tell the public, you are worse than the restaurant itself. If we are posting the sex offenders in our neighborhoods, then we should be posting the food offenders in our neighborhoods.
I watched a restuarant worker spray a counter with cleaner (I am pretty sure it was window cleaner), of coruse wetting the salad with cleaner. Salad a-la windex! I have recieved moldy food from ultiple restaurants (no, it isn't supposed to mold in a few minutes). Anyone who says this report is false would probably serve you bad food if they had the chance. I stopped going to a particular Rally's after I found ants in my drink multiple times. There was a lid on it and it was from the drive thru. I have seen a McDondald's worker place opened breakfast food brought back by a customer into the warmer to be served again. I have seen a worker drop their hat into my food and then say they didn't. I have been given food that is past the expiration date on the container (watch your apple pies from McDonalds). I have recieved partially cooked food: breadsticks are not supposed to be white, cold, and have a flour flavor. I have seen meat that is odd colored with flies swarming it being put into sandwiches (never bought any food that time). I have even gotten chicken that smelled rotten. And I don't eat out as much as many people I know. Food service workers are no more likely than nay other worker to be concerned about quality (and the quality of American work generally is not so good).
