But for my best friend Ashley and I who are both newer mommies, this idea has saved us money and made our 9-month-old boys very happy. If you haven't already thought of it, maybe it will help you out too. The idea is toy trading! It's simple enough. We both have little boys that are the same age (in fact, they are only 12 hours apart. How cool is that!) and ar... My 9-month-old son Jude is over baby food. He's tired of it. For the past few weeks he's spent most of any mealtime looking at what everyone else is eating and hoping someone will trade him and take his pureed green beans so that he can have pork steaks. That hasn't happened. Now, we've moved from hoping to down right frustration. Jude is independent and strong-willed. He wants to feed himself and he wants to do it his way. I can alrea... I took a short vacation with my family this past weekend. We took a trip up to Chicago for some fun in the city. We had a great time and I was amazed at how good my 9-month-old son Jude was. He rode in the car for 6 hours without any major melt-downs and dealt with adjustments to his daily routine without missing a beat. He's always just along for the ride. We brought snacks, books, toys and a little DVD player so that Jude could watch... This weekend was a big one for my son Jude. It was his first 4th of July and it was his 9-month birthday. I couldn't wait for Jude to experience the VP parade and the fireworks, but the weather put a bit of a damper on our holiday plans. My husband, my dad and my sister all got called in to work, so my mom and I ventured out in the rain to take Jude to the parade. My brother (Uncle Cameron to Jude) is in the high school marching band, so parad... I was watching the Early Show this morning and saw a story about several baby products that are being recalled. The one that caught my eye first was a crib recall. This brand of cribs is being recalled because the plastic connector on the drop rail side of the crib can separate from the rest of the crib and the baby can fall in between the drop side and the mattress and suffocate. >> Continue reading: Cribs, inflatable baby floats recalled |
