Recently by http://www.kmov.com/about/blogpics/murphy.jsGet those coupons ready, shoppers! This week, some Kmarts in the area are doubling and tripling coupons. It's like Christmas in April!! Check the front page of the weekly ad for the Kmart closest to you to confirm which stores are participating. I know the stores in Collinsville and Fairview Heights are. Here are the basics: 1. Coupons up to and including .75 are tripled. That means the Huggies wipes .75 coupon that was ... Just wanted to pass along a decent deal on diapers this week at Walgreens. Look on the back page of their weekly ad and you'll find the details. Basically, if you buy $25 worth of certain products you'll get a coupon for $10 off your next Walgreens purchase. A couple things to consider.... As a mother of boys I assumed I'd find myself in the E.R. at some point. I figured it would be because my 3-year-old, Drew, had just jumped off of something and cracked his head open. Nope. My 11 month old, Sean, was the reason for this trip to the hospital. Sean had been spiking high fevers all day Saturday so we kept giving him Motrin. The fever and a runny nose were his only symptoms so we figured it was an ear infection. But ... We've learned my youngest son has plagiocephaly and will have to wear a helmet to re-shape his head. Pretty much, that means he has some flatness to his head.
Can I just say that my 2 1/2 year old keeps me on my toes? Thursday morning he locked me out of the house. It's the second time he's done it in as many months. I had just walked out to the mailbox, leaving Drew inside the house and Sean hanging out in his swing. As I was walking up to the door I heard a click and realized Drew had just set the deadbolt.
We won the battle of the binky! Much to our surprise it was much easier than we expected to convince Drew that he did not need a binky at bedtime. We had been warning him for about a week that on Wednesday night he would not get a binky. When that night rolled around he asked for it, but seemed to understand when we told him he was a big boy and didn't need one now. We were prepared to let him cry and scream himself to sleep, but ... It's time. Our 2 1/2 year old has got to lose his pacifier. I'm a little embarrassed to even admit it, but Drew still sleeps with a binky. Around the age of 1 we dropped the binky at naps... and that was pretty easy. But getting rid of the binky at night is going to be a whole different story. We were going to try several times but things just kept coming up. We were going out of town. I became pregnant with Sean and wanted Drew ... I knew as soon as I became pregnant with my first son that I was the perfect candidate for an epidural. Reason 1: I'm not fond of pain. Drew's birth couldn't have been easier. I was induced because my blood pressure shot up and given the epidural at the appropriate time. Yes, th... Looking to save a few bucks as you stock up on diapers, formula and bibs? It's not easy with gas and grocery prices so high these days. Here are a few things I do to save money...hopefully you'll find them helpful. Feel free to post your money-saving ideas, too! 1. Check out www.mommysavesbig.com. Go to the printable coupons section and you'll find all kinds of goodies. I love the 20% off coupon for Children's Place...it'... Hi Everyone! This is my first blog so let me introduce myself. I'm Jennifer Murphy, a proud mom of 2 boys: Drew is 2 1/2 and Sean is 4 months. I am by no means an expert, but I just wanted to pass along 10 things that I've found helpful (in no particular order) when it comes to having a baby. Feel free to add to the list! 1.
