February 2009 ArchivesMy husband is off on Fridays (he works at our church, so his work week is Sunday-Thursday) so he and Jude decided to take a little field trip to visit mommy at work. Here are some pictures from Jude's afternoon in the newsroom. Keep in mind, he had just woken up from a nap, so he was a little groggy and not ready for smiling. Jude and Kisha working in the webcenter Well, last night was the big debut. Jude was introduced to the wonderful world of vegetables. We sat him down for his first encounter with baby food and he loved it! He ate every last bite of those sweet potatoes and was ready for more. Here's the classic orange-baby-food-all-over-the-face picture: Last week my sister was home from college to visit her one-and-only nephew, my little boy Jude. As she was playing with him, her hand came near his mouth and she said, "Ouch...I think Jude just bit me." "That's impossible. Jude doesn't have teeth," I calmly explained. ...Jude went for his 4-month check-up last week. Boy is he getting big! He is now 17 pounds and 27 ½ inches long. I can't believe how much he's grown. I'm sure all of you mommies out there are nodding your head in agreement when I say...it goes by soooo fast! Things went really well at the doctor's office. Jude is very healthy, but here's the fun part...we get to start feeding him real food (sort of)! Our pediatrician has given us the oka... Remember the first time you heard your baby laugh? It's an awesome feeling. The first time Jude laughed out loud, it just melted my heart. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. There's nothing better than getting a big belly laugh out of that little boy. Well, I'm in need of a good laugh today. I got a grand total of 4 hours of sleep last night (thanks, Jude!) and the morning coffee wore off way before noon, so I'm struggling, to say the... |
