July 2008 ArchivesSo, I've been asked to write a blog about life as a working mom. I know there are plenty of you who share my sentiments so by all means, respond. Here's a little bit about me: I've been here at channel 4 for 10 years. My husband and I have been married for 8 years now. We have two daughters, ages 5 and 2. When we're not working we're either at the pool, soccer field, or baseball field. Yes, we love sports, and if it involves the Texas ... I know my life is about to change in a big way and I hope I'm ready for it. I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant with baby #2. My first son is 20 months old and he has no idea what's in store for him. He knows that baby brother is in mommy's tummy, but that's about all. It should be really interesting having a newborn and a toddler in the house. I'm hoping in some ways it will be easier than the first time around. When my son, Sean, was born, my hu... I'm not officially a mom yet, but my journey into motherhood is rapidly approaching. As of today I have approximately 67 days to go, but who's counting. As D-Day gets closer and closer I find myself becoming a little more nervous each day. This is for real...I am actually going to be a parent. I'm going to be somebody's mom. My husband and I are going to be responsible for this little person's life. A couple of months ago that was a cute littl... Iknow that I am an educated woman. I have a degree from Washington University. I graduated with high marks from Ursuline Academy. But I find that my 22 month old, Finni, teaches me way more each day than I ever learned during my sophomore and junior years combined at WU -- no offense to any teachers. It's just that she's really smart. She sees me take a yogurt out of the bottom drawer of the refrigerator once and then the next thing I know... |
