Kristen's Kalendar September 29 - October 4

2:35 PM Tue, Sep 29, 2009 |

Did I really just write October? Why is it that as we get older, time starts flying by faster and faster? With Halloween right around the corner, I'm going back to check out The Darkness in Soulard later this week. It's added a big expansion since last year...I'll let you know how it goes.

This is a great week for those into food and wine. The Taste of St. Louis is awesome...I went last year. Go hungry! And then there's the wine festival this weekend including the preview party that the Young Friends put on Friday night. I haven't been able to make this yet but wine at the base of art hill...how can it not be fantastic? Have a great week!

Tuesday September 29:

6:30 pm - Missouri History Museum's Twilight Tuesdays featuring The Fabulous Motown Revue.

Friday October 2:

Bacchus at the Basin: Wine Festival Preview, presented by the Young Friends of the Saint Louis Art Museum. 6:30-9:00 pm at The Grand Basin - At the bottom of Art Hill in Forest Park. Featuring unlimited wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and live music. Tickets are $50 (Young Friends Members get a $10 discount).

Saint Louis Fashion Week Launch Party at Mandarin-44 Maryland Plaza in the Central West End. Doors at 9pm.

Friday - Sunday October 2-4:

Taste Of St. Louis at Soldier's Memorial (12th & Market). Free admission. Sample (for a small price) a wide array of culinary delights from 40 of St. Louis' most upscale and mouth-watering dining establishments. This is a celebration of the best food, art music and culture our great city has to offer. There is something for everyone at the Taste... just ask the 300,000 patrons who attended last year's event!

Saturday October 3:

Can't wait to hit up STLFW! Is it me or does STL seem so hot now?! There are always a ton of things to do and now it's becoming harder to choose!
