Happy Fall ya'll! Despite the change of the season there are still a few free outdoor concerts on the calendar, but this is the last week for most of them! Hopefully the weather will cooperate but it's not looking great. Ladies, the Shecky's Girl's Night Out thing looks really cool. I've never been to one but I'm going to try to make it. And the chili cook-off this weekend looks yummy! Have a great week whatever you decide to get in to! Tuesday September 22: 6:30 pm - Missouri History Museum's Twilight Tuesdays featuring The Legacy Jazz Quintet. Wednesday September 23: Maplewood's Summer Concert Series from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Ryan Hummert Memorial Park - 2500 Sutton St. Louis. The Hot Flashes will perform. Thursday September 24: Downtown Kirkwood Summer Concert Series from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Station Plaza - 120 S. Kirkwood Road. My Friend Mike to perform. Friday September 25: Shecky's Girls Night Out. 5pm-10pm at Roberts Orpheum Theater, 416 N. 9th St. in downtown St. Louis. The must-have fashions of the season, cocktails and food pairings, fall-fabulous beauty treatments and much more. Best of all, you'll take home one of their famous goodie bags, filled to the brim with glamorous goodies and freebies! Saturday September 26: Green Homes Festival 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at 3617 Grandel Square in St. Louis. Learn new green home and lifestyle tips from more than 75 festival exhibitors. Angels Arms Bar Bounce. 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. Get a team of 8-12 of your friends and head to Soulard for a full day pub crawl. $40-$50 per person includes admission, an official Bar Bounce t-shirt, 15 pitchers of beer for your team and food and entertainment at the after-party. Dancing In The Street Festival. 1-9pm on Grand between Lindell and Delmar. A street festival celebrating the opening of Grand Center's fall arts season. The festival will be filled with juried performances from dance companies performing a variety of dance styles. In addition to stage presentations and site-specific dances, street performers will add to the excitement. Nat'l Kidney Foundation Chili Cook-Off and Salsa Competition at Westport Plaza, 147 Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Live music, enthusiastic showmanship competitions, sponsor booths and food vendors. Some of the best chili and salsa recipes in the region will be on hand for the tasting, but there will also be plenty of tasty treats for those who can't take the heat. Samples are just 50 cents. Saturday & Sunday September 26-27: Strange Folk Festival. Community Park - 401 E. 5th St. in O'Fallon, IL. The Heartland's largest outdoor indie arts and crafts show. 120 modern makers will be featured offering merchandise with aesthetics ranging from retro, pretty, punk, urban, and everything in between. Live music and eco-friendly craft activities plus a variety of food and drink options. 10am-6pm.
