I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July weekend. I know I did! I attended the free concerts (Counting Crows and Train) and fireworks down on the levee Friday and Saturday night and it was wonderful! Now the city is gearing up for the All-Star game and there are plenty of events surrounding it. I'm going to try to get the station to let me do the weather live from the Sheryl Crow concert Saturday night...cross your fingers for me! There are plenty of other fun things to choose from this week including the always fantastic Party In The Park in Clayton Wednesday night and St. Louis Magazine's A-List party Thursday. Wednesday July 8:

Parties In The Park, Shaw Park, 5-8pm. Music by Charles Glenn: A Tribute to Prince, Stevie Wonder.

Whitaker Music Festival at the Botanical Gardens. Free admission after 5pm, concert begins at 7:30pm at the Cohen Amphitheater

Thursday July 9:

St. Louis Magazine's A-List Party from 7:30 - 11 p.m. at Maryland Plaza in the Central West End. Celebrate the best in food, nightlife, fashion, culture and more. Enjoy an open bar, sample savory cuisine from the city's best restaurants and dance under the star-filled sky to the beats of our city's best DJ. $35

Downtown Kirkwood Summer Concert Series from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Station Plaza - 120 S. Kirkwood Road. Delicious Fishes will perform.

Friday July 10:

Maplewood's Let Them Eat Art from 6:00 - 11:00pm in Downtown Maplewood. A self-guided anything-goes event where you can enjoy live music by Gumbohead, live art, belly dancing, dream interpretations, a costume contest and much more!

Jungle Boogie at the Saint Louis Zoo from 5-8pm. Free concert in the center of the Zoo. Band: Ticket to the Beatles (Beatles).

Parties at the Park at Fairmount Park - 9301 Collinsville Road in Collinsville, IL. Every Friday you can bet on the ponies and eat for the price of $11. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the races begin at 7:30 p.m.

Friday July 10-Sunday July 12:

23rd Annual Soulard Bastille Days Festival. There will be a mock beheading of the king and queen, a flea market, a festival, a weekend long Taste Of Soulard and more!

Saturday July 11:

Metromix Baseball Bash from 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. at Mosaic Restaurant and Lounge - 1001 Washington Ave. Metromix drink specials will be available all night. The kitchen is staying open until 2 a.m.Get ready to dance the night away with a DJ spinning all the hits.

Free All Star Charity Concert featuring Sheryl Crow under the Gateway Arch. Gates open at 2PM CT, show starts at 8PM CT.

Sunday July 12:

MLB All-Star Charity 5K & Fun Run presented by Sports Authority and Nike.
