Friends of Ronald is open to anyone interested in helping the children and families who stay at one of the Ronald McDonald Houses or Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.

This group is all about fun and philanthropy. Giving of time, inspiration, creativity, and money helps Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a "home-away-from-home" for families of seriously ill children. Membership is what you make it. It can be as simple as writing a check or it can be serving on a committee to create a new program for families. The cost of membership begins at $25.

Annual membership events throughout the year include great social, volunteer, and House events. The first is the Holiday Store where families can shop for one another "free of charge." The shop and its volunteers also provide gift bags for the families at other holidays throughout the year. Friends of Ronald also meet monthly for social and service activities. Members may choose to host a party where the price of admission is snacks for families using one of the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located in St. Louis hospitals. And then there is the annual meeting for all members to celebrate the year's accomplishments and to elect officers.

There next event is coming up July 22. Mingle over great drink specials and a fabulous buffet at the Old Rock House July 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. for a Friends of Ronald Happy Hour. One dollar Bud Family draughts, $2 Bud Family bottles, and $2 wells drinks. Everyone is welcome! Bring your friends and meet new ones! Free for Friends of Ronald/$10 for non-members.
