I can't believe the 4th of July is almost here! The weather is spectacular and there are tons of great outdoor activities this week. I'm super excited about Fair St. Louis this weekend and plan to make it out to see The Counting Crows and Train...I'm big fans of both! The Saucy Soiree will be a tasty event tonight and I'm going to try to check out the grand opening of Mosaic's new lounge on Friday. So much to do, so little time! For plenty of options to keep you busy this week, read on!

Monday June 29:

Saucy Soiree-Sauce Magazine's 2009 Readers' Choice Preview Party. At the Four Seasons Hotel Grand Ballroom from 6PM to 10:30PM. Tickets $25 at the door. Complimentary tasting (From 6-8pm) and live music

Wednesday July 1:

Whitaker Music Festival at the Botanical Gardens. Free admission after 5pm, concert begins at 7:30pm at the Cohen Amphitheater Bring your own picnic supper, baskets, or coolers. Picnic fare is also available for purchase on site. Featuring : Dizzy Atmosphere Masters of swing.

Wednesday July 1-Saturday July 4:

Webster Groves Community Days-An annual event to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday at Memorial Park (located just south of I-44 at the intersection of Elm and Glendale Avenues). BBQ and Carnival Wednesday & Thursday: 4p-11p; Friday: 2p-11p; Saturday: 11a-p. There is also a parade on Saturday at 10am as well as fireworks Friday night at 9:30p and Saturday at 9:45pm.

Thursday July 2:

Downtown Kirkwood Summer Concert Series-6:30-9pm. Erin Bode (jazz) will perform on the platform at Station Plaza.

Free outdoor movie. Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the Old Post Office Plaza. Movie starts at dusk.

Friday July 3:

Fireworks Viewing Party, 7:30-11:30pm. View the Fair St. Louis fireworks from the unique indoor/outdoor ballroom on the 18th floor of the renovated Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel. Music by DJ Big D. Advance tickets are $10.

Fair St. Louis @ St. Louis Arch Grounds from 6-10pm, 8 PM The Counting Crows, fireworks 9:15pm.

Parties at the Park at Fairmount Park - 9301 Collinsville Road in Collinsville, IL. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the races begin at 7:30 p.m. Your 11 dollar ticket includes admission into the park, buffet and drink specials.

Jungle Boogie at the zoo. Free concert, 5-8pm.

Twilight Under The Train Shed. Free outdoor movie at Union Station, starts at sunset. The Natural.

Grand Opening of Mosaic Lounge -1001 Washington Ave. 10pm-3am Djs, bottle service, food served til 2am.

Saturday July 4:

Maplewood's Summer Concert Series from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Ryan Hummert Memorial Park - 2500 Sutton.

Fair St. Louis @ St. Louis Arch Grounds from 11a-10pm. Train will perform at 8pm followed by fireworks at 9:15pm.

The 132nd Annual Veiled Prophet Parade begins at Washington Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis at 10am, concluding at St. Louis Union Station at Market and 20th Streets

Rockin' On The Landing from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Laclede's Landing - 710 N. 2nd a free musical event at St. Louis' historic riverside entertainment district. Celebrate Independence Day on Laclede's Landing with outdoor, live music, a variety of food and drink vendors and a front row seat for the fireworks.

Lafayette Summer Concert Series from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. The Ralph Butler Band will perform in Lafayette Park - 2101 Park Ave.

Smoking Hot 4th of July BBQ Bash, 2pm - midnight at Smoking Joe's BBQ at 1901 Washington Ave. Drink specials, prize giveaways, live music and a patio with a great view of the fireworks over the Arch.

Kirkwood Community Freedom Festival from 7-9pm at Kirkwood Park - 111 S. Geyer Road . Fanfare will play beginning at 7p. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Fireworks at dusk.
