Happy first full week of May!!! The warm weather is here and all these warm weather festivals and recurring events are underway. Twilight Tuesdays is here as well as Party At The Park at Fairmount Park. And while I've never attended the Laumeier Sculpture Park Art Fair, it looks great! Friday night will be a tough decision...the art fair, BBQ or horses??? All my faves! Keep reading for details on all my top picks for this week!

Tuesday May 5:

Twilight Tuesday at the Missouri History Museum, 6:30pm. Free outdoor concert at 6:30pm. Friendz, featuring Cheryl Brown, Jeremiah Allen, Amos Brewer and Carl Baines.

Metromix Cinco de Mayo party, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Senor Pique - 14870 Manchester Road. Food and drink specials all night including a Metromix margarita for $5. Live entertainment including a mariachi trio, salsa dancing and Latin music.

Cinco de Mayo party at Atomic Cowboy, 5 p.m., 4140 Manchester Ave. Party on their brand new patio with live music from both a band and a DJ as well as drink specials.

Wednesday May 6:

Muttini Night at Frazers, 5pm. $10 donation at the door goes to Stray Rescue. Frazers will provide free appetizers from 5-6p.

Friday May 8:

Party at the Park at Fairmount Park - 9301 Collinsville Road Collinsville, IL. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the races begin at 7:30 p.m. $11 ticket includes admission into the park, buffet and drink specials.

Rock n Wine, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at The Old Rock House - 1200 S. 7th Blvd. Your $20 cover gets you appetizer samples, wine tasting, live music and bottle specials for the remainder of the evening.

Friday & Saturday May 8-9:

Memphis in May & Jeans 'N Bling at Smoking Joe's (1901 Washington Ave.)
FREE food and drinks, live music and great bbq. Come dressed in your best southern-style jeans for FREE admission. Enter the "best booty" contest ($20 entry fee) and possibly walk away with $300! A portion of the proceeds will go to Food Outreach. May 8: 5pm - 1am and May 9: 12pm - 1am.


Friday - Sunday May 8-10:

Laumeier Sculpture Park Art Fair, 12580 Rott Road. Visitors can choose from a variety of creative and original works of art from 150 artists from across the country. Food and drink is available and two stages will provide entertainment. $8.00 for adults. In addition, you can celebrate the opening night of Art Fair with fine wine and music from 6-9 PM Friday. The separate admission charge of $12 provides unlimited wine tastings

Saturday May 9:

Urbanaire 2009 at the Rialto Ballroom, Centene Center for the Arts (3547 Olive St., Grand Center). A chic soiree benefiting PROMO, Missouri's largest statewide organization advocating LGBT equality. VIP pre-party featuring food, cocktails and champagne tastings. Enjoy a premium open bar, appetizers and live entertainment. by funk-soul-house duo Soul Alliance, fire entertainers and DJs.
