I can't believe the Memorial Weekend is already upon us! It looks like a great weather week so all the more reason to get out there and take advanage of it. I'm particularly looking forward to the Rib America Festival this weekend. I missed it last year. Yum!!! For several other of my favorite picks this week, read on!
River City Professionals Happy Hour, 5:30-9pm at Skybox, 800 N Third Street on The Landing. Twilight Tuesday at the Missouri History Museum, 6:30pm. Free outdoor concert. China Grove: Doobie Brothers Tribute Band. Thursday May 21: Party In The Plaza, Westport Plaza beginning at 5pm. Live music and entertainment. Sounds At The Station, Free concert series at Union Station, 5-8:30pm. Caleb Travers & Big City Lights. Friday May 22: Jungle Boogie At The Zoo. Free concert in the center of the zoo, 5-8pm. Featuring Ralph Butler Band (Motown/Pop). Parties at the Park, 6 p.m. at Fairmount Park - 9301 Collinsville Road in Collinsville, IL. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the races begin at 7:30 p.m. Your 11 dollar ticket includes admission into the park, buffet and drink specials. Friday & Saturday May 22-23: Brew & Q World Pork Steak Championship. Live music, beer and bbq at Schlafly Bottleworks. May 22-25: Rib America Festival at Soldier's Memorial Plaza at the intersection of Market and Tucker Streets. Starts at 11:00 a.m. each day and will include award winning barbeque teams from around the country and several musical acts.
