Hey guys! Sorry for the delay...the severe weather over the weekend and impending storms tonight have my schedule a bit wacked out as of late. The rest of the week looks much less eventful weatherwise. Let's hope it stays that way since I'm looking forward to the Fashion Week launch party and some of the St. Patrick's day happenings this weekend! Tuesday March 10: Fuel Happy Hour at McGurk's (1200 Russell) from 6-8pm. Will be in the heated tent and bar in the rear of the restaurant. Complimentary appetizers. At 6:30 there will be a brief presentation about upcoming volunteer opportunities. Wednesday, March 11: Wheels of Glory 3 from 7:00pm - 12:00am at Atomic Cowboy - 4140 Manchester Ave. The races will be on bikes mounted to computrainers in the bar. As you pedal the bike the trainers will pull the information to a computer when in turn projects the information onto the wall. The race is free to come and watch and 5 dollars to enter. The money generated from this race will be donated to SCOSAG (St. Louis City Open Studio and Gallery). Thursday March 12: St. Patrick's Walk in Dogtown hosted by Metropolis. 7:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. Felix's - 6335 Clayton Avenue. 8:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. Seamus McDaniels - 1208 Tamm Avenue. 10:00p.m. - ??? Pat's Bar & Grill - 6400 Oakland. Friday March 13: Exposure: Saint Louis Fashion Week Launch Party from 9pm - 1am at Mandarin - 46 Maryland Plaza. RSVP: exposure@saintlouisfashionweek.com. For more information on Fashion week visit: www.saintlouisfashionweek.com Taste of Edwardsville, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Edwardsville Moose. Saturday March 14: St. Patrick's Day Parade Run at 9:00am. One of the largest events of its kind in the St. Louis area, with over 7,000 participants, the 5 mile run travels the streets of Downtown and Midtown St. Louis. Near the finish line, participants may enjoy the post-race hospitality area, prior to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Run begins at 9th & Market Streets and the Run Check-In is at 8th and Market Streets and opens at 7:30 AM. St. Patrick's Day Irish Village at Kiener Plaza - 600 Market St. This Irish-themed entertainment area will feature food and beverages from St. Louis restaurants, Irish merchandise for sale, free activities and live music beginning at 9am. The Mayer School of Irish Dance and the band Ultraviolets will provide entertainment. St. Patrick's Day Parade at 12pm - begins at 18th and Market Streets. The Parade takes place "rain or shine" and will begin at 18th and Market Streets, and proceed east to its conclusion at Broadway and Market Streets.
