Okay, I had to do some serious digging to find some good events for you this week. From a Blues game to happy hours to art receptions and oyster festivals, there is a wide variety of choices this week! Keep on reading for details on all the events and have a great week! Tuesday March 3: St. Louis Blues vs Detroit Redwings at Scottrade Center - 7:30pm Thursday March 5: Young Variety Happy Hour, 5:30-8:30pm at Molly Darcys, 26 N. Meramec. 10% of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Young Variety. Friday March 6: The Mature Mingle at Skybox Sports Bar & Grill. Doors open at 9:30, ladies drink for $5 all night. I-Squared's first quarterly happy hour. 6-8pm at The Dubliner on Washington Ave. Opening Reception for the Mad March Show at the Mad Art Gallery - 2727 S. 12th Street, 7-11pm. Friday & Saturday March 6 & 7: Schlafly Beer Presents the Stout and Oyster Festival at the Schlafly Tap Room - 2100 Locust St. Friday: 5 pm - midnight and Saturday : Noon - Midnight. Visitors will be treated to an array of oyster dishes and several signature Schlafly stouts. Music will include "Duddy Breeks" and "Rusty Nail" on Friday, with Saturday performances featuring "Gumbohead" and "Sins of the Pioneers". Live entertainment will also include an oyster schucking competition on Saturday. Saturday March 7: Texas Hold' Em Tournament at Gambrinus Hall located at 3650 Wisconsin St. Registration and dinner start at 6pm, and the tournament begins at 7pm. To enter, a $50-65 optional donation is suggested. Donations benefit Boys Hope Girls Hope. For every Police Officer or Fire Fighter who plays, $15 will be donated to Backstoppers. With your donation you receive draft beer, dinner buffet, a wine tasting by Wine Necessities, soft drinks and snacks. Come for the Tournament, stay for the party- DJ/Karaoke during and after the tournament! Food Outreach Trivia Night - 6:00pm at St. Vincent de Paul Parish - 1408 South 10th Street. Bring your own snacks and drinks (wine and beer will also be available for purchase). Raffles and prizes! Tables of 8 are available for $160. I am divorsed single mom in my early 40's trying to get involved in an active life trying to meet new people and looking for event going ons. I live in ofallon, mo and looking for things to do or activities going on closer to home. If you have any recomendations I would appreciate it.
